LANDSCAPE LIGHTING APPLICATIONS

Accent Lighting - Used to highlight a plant or small garden element.

Area Lighting - Uniform and bright ambient light for entertaining.

Contour Lighting - Lights used to define perimeters on elements such as pathways or garden beds.

Cross Lighting - Lighting an object from two or more angles.

Down Lighting - Lighting an area from above.

Grazing - Lighting which highlights a surface texture.

Mirror Lighting - Lights used around the perimeter of a garden pool to capture nearby elements, which are reflected in the water.

Moonlighting - Light positioned high above the ground and simulates a soft defuse light.

Safety Lighting - Lights used to allow visitors to move through the landscape without stumbling.

Security Lighting - Lighting used to illuminate and eliminate shadows.

Shadow Lighting - Lighting used to project a shadow of an object on a wall or fence.

Silhouette - A concealed light behind an object which creates a dramatic silhouette. 

Spotlight - A beam of light that discreetly highlights a garden element.

Up Lighting - Lighting an object from below.
